Stories from Service
The LGBTQI+ RPCV blog is a space to share stories from our Peace Corps experiences
The power of storytelling
Only RPCVs and PCVs with memberships can contribute their stories. Sign up now for a free membership to join our growing community of LGBTQI+ RPCVs.
As part of the mission of LGBTQI+ RPCVs we want to raise up the voices of this community. For many LGBTQI+ RPCVs, their service was a time where their identities may have had to be minimized. It is our intention to use this space as a way for LGBTQI+ RPCVs to share their stories and experiences from service. We invite RPCVs to interact with us via blogs or our monthly podcast.
We make these stories public so that those considering Peace Corps service, our friends and families, and others can learn from those who share. We invite you into this space and conversation and ask that you approach these stories with respect and discretion.
Meet our podcast: Volunqueers
Voluntqueers launched in November 2024. It is a montly podcast that features interviews with LGBTQI+ RPCVs. The Volunqueers podcasts aims to create an audio record of the contributions and accomplishments of LGBTQI+ individuals within the Peace Corps expereince and to share stories with those considering Peace Corps service for themselves. The stories and opinions shared in the podcast are those of the individual and do not represent the opinions of the US Peace Corps, NPCA, or any other affiliates.
Volunqueers is available on Spotify or Apple Podcasts.
Podcast Transcripts
Transcripts are available for each Vounqueers episode. You can access a transcript using Apple Podcasts, or download a written transcript from our Transcript Repository.
